About NWJBL

Norwell Junior Baseball League is a youth baseball organization serving the Ossian and surrounding communities as part of the Norwell Feeder Program. Our mission is to promote, develop, assist, and strengthen young athletes as they build baseball skills, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the game — all while making lasting memories on the diamond.

We provide organized baseball for players ranging from T-Ball through Koufax, offering age-appropriate instruction and competition at well-maintained fields in Ossian and Uniondale.

  • Demonstrate sportsmanship by avoiding behaviors such as throwing equipment, using foul language, or showing negative gestures.

  • Give full effort and attention during practices and games.

  • Uphold league rules and decisions, understanding that Board rulings are final and enforced fairly

Parent & Spectator Expectations

Parents and spectators contribute significantly to the league environment and are expected to:

  • Support all players, recognizing they are learning and developing—not performing at a professional level

  • Encourage, not criticize, and avoid negative or destructive comments

  • Respect coaches, umpires, and league officials, acknowledging their volunteer efforts

  • Refrain from “grandstand coaching” or interfering with team instruction

  • Display good sportsmanship, avoiding disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior
